PLANTATION BEACH RESORT - TRAVEL TIPS |

| TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS: Travel from Mainland Honduras to Plantation Beach Resort is available on any day of the week (weather permitting). Guests transfer by boat to Plantation Beach Resort, departing from the coastal Honduran city of La Ceiba. Thus you must fly to either San Pedro Sula or Tegucigalpa, on mainland Honduras, with a connecting flight to La Ceiba. We stand ready to assist you with both domestic and international travel arrangements. On international flights, be sure to check in at the airport a minimum of two hours prior to departure, in both directions. Be sure to have the resort reconfirm your return flight. Don't forget to budget for the USD $2 Honduran entrance fee, and a USD $32 Departure Tax on leaving Honduras. |

| FLIGHT CONNECTIONS: If your international flight terminates in San Pedro Sula, or Tegucigalpa, your flight to La Ceiba will be arranged by a resort representative. It will be on either Islena Airlines or SOSA Airlines. After clearing immigration and customs, have a porter take your bags to the Islena or SOSA counter. They will have your name on the manifest for the flight to La Ceiba. Upon arrival in La Ceiba you will be met by a representative for the transfer to the dock for the boat transfer. We now also offer air conditioned van transfers from San Pedro to La Ceiba.You may contact us for more information. |

| BOAT TRANSFERS: Transfers to the resort from La Ceiba are by boat, and must be arranged in advance. The cost is $80 per person(does not include any ground transportation), round-trip, and operates any day of the week in the AM (weather permitting). You will be met on arrival at the La Ceiba airport, and transferred to the marina. Depending on the weather, the boat crossing from La Ceiba to the resort takes from 55 minutes to 1 ½ hours. |

| WHAT TO BRING: Dress is casual. Jeans, shorts, t-shirts, light dresses, sneakers, sandals are fine. Breathable cotton garments are the most comfortable. A light jacket is advisable, and cover-up clothing, a hat, and sun block are essential. Don't forget bathing suits and a beach towel. Bring all medications you might require. Keep prescription drugs in their original container. Bring all dive gear with the exception of tank and lead. If you plan to night dive, bring multiple dive lights and cyalume sticks. The electricity is U.S. style, 110 volt, with standard plug. |

| PASSPORT IS REQUIRED: U.S. citizens do require a passport but not a visa. A tourist card will be supplied by the inbound airline. Non-U.S. citizens are advised to contact their local consulate for additional entry requirements, if any. |

| MONEY: There is no need to buy currency in advance. The official exchange rate fluctuates, but at this writing stands at $1 US = 18.95 Lempiras. Bring a minimum of $250 per person for expenses. Travelers checks are recommended. At this time the resort accepts U.S. dollars or travelers checks only. |

| DIVING : You must present a valid C-card to dive. Please remember to bring your dive log book as well. Please visit the dive shop upon arrival, to obtain current schedule and information. Dive boats leave the dock punctually, don't be late. |

| MEALS: Full board is included in your package, and the meals at PBR are tasty and plentiful. There is no need to bring food from home, other than a special snack or two. Please advise the resort of any special dietary requirements in advance. |

| INSECT REPELLENT: The best prevention against mosquitos and "no-see-ums" is the application of Deep Woods Off, Skintastic, or 3M Ultrathon or the equivalent. Liquid or pump containers are preferable to aerosol. These insects are most active at dawn and dusk. Do come prepared. (Note: Our friends at the resort specifically recommend a product called "Ultrathon." They tell us that Avon Skin so Soft does not work). |

| CANCELLATIONS: In the event that a reservation must be canceled, Plantation Beach Resort requires a minimum of 45 days notice. Your deposit will be refunded less a $200 per person service charge. Within 45 days, all payments will be non-refundable, but transferable to another date within one year of the original reservation. Substitution of a guest may be permitted. |

| OPTIONAL MAINLAND EXCURSIONS: Honduras also offers many wonderful topside tourism opportunities. From the Mayan ruins of Copan to lush botanical gardens, rain forest treks, and white water rafting, all can be arranged through our office with reputable and highly experienced Honduran tour companies. At a minimum, if you have two additional nights to enjoy in Honduras, do not miss the opportunity to visit the Copan. |
